Superficial and Medium Chemical Peels

Depending on the severity of facial wrinkles, sun- damage, or blemishes, a specific strength of chemical peel can be applied. Depending on the desired result, one of three strengths of chemical peels (superficial, medium and deep) may be used. For instance, patients can choose to refresh the skin with the Tricholoracetic acid (TCA) peel or rejuvenate the skin on a deeper level with the Phenol peel. Increasing the strength or depth of the peel does require a longer recovery time but produces a more dramatic, aesthetically-pleasing result.
