Liposuction of the Face and Neck

Under the chin and along the jaw line (jowls) are very common places for fat to accumulate and change the shape of one's face. Liposuction of the face and neck can be used to thin these areas to create a more attractive and defined appearance. The size of the cannula is quite small compared to those used for liposuction of the body. It enters the skin through a tiny, easily hidden incision. This procedure is ideal in correcting contour deformities of the neck and jaw line from excess fat in young patients who have good skin elasticity. Liposuction of the head and neck is often preformed in combination with another procedure such as a facelift.
